Rock Physical Model and AVO Patterns for the Mud-Rich Source Rock

Rock physical model and amplitude variation with offset (AVO) patterns considering the content of organic matter composition minerals have a wider significance for guiding identification prediction mud-rich source rock. A rock is proposed describing elastic properties kerogen in different maturity stages. The builds an intrinsic connection between parameters rock, thereby providing theoretical basis seismic inversion forward modeling. To overcome limitations laboratory measurement, combination-four-parameter regression (CFPR) method further to estimate continuous total carbon (TOC) values verification analysis model. modeling results reveal that P-wave velocity impedance will decrease increase TOC, Poisson ratio as mud increases, which are consistent conclusions cross plot using actual well data. Based on model, responses modeled. synthetic records well-side records, top reflection behaves stronger negative event dimming incident angle corresponding class IV AVO pattern, bottom exhibits I anomaly. In addition, two-layer constructed analyze effect TOC characteristics. indicate increasing significantly interceptions slightly change gradients P-P coefficients. These help guide evaluation
